The AOGKF hosts several training camps (Gasshuku) and tournaments each year. In addition to this AOGKF hosts and participates in International events for IOGKF International.
Sensei Joseph Tait (the brother of our very own Sensei Geoff Tait) will come to Australia in April 2019 to embark of a tour of some of the AOGKF's NSW and ACT Dojo locations. Sensei Joseph is a 6th Dan Black belt and the most senior student of Sensei Kazuo Terauchi. Sensei Joseph has spent over 22 years training and studying Karate in Japan and is the only foreign member of the IOGKF Japan board of directors. He has his own Karate Dojo in Shiki, Tokyo, Japan. Do not miss this rare opportunity to train with Sensei Joseph Tait - a great way to prepare for the 2019 Gishiki trip or the 2019 AOGKF National Gasshuku! Guest Instructor: Sensei David Lambert
AOGKF Executive Committee member, Sensei David Lambert will travel to Port Vila in Vanuatu as the guest instructor for this years Vanuatu National Gasshuku. The event is being organised by Sensei Noel Lango, the head instructor for VIOGKF. The Gasshuku is open to all grades and Sensei Noel can be contacted about attend at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This is Sensei Lambert's first time to Vanuatu to teach at this event as we welcome VIOGKF into the Oceania family.
The Annual AOGKF Black & Brown Belt Gasshuku will begin on the evening of Friday May 24 with our Dojo instructors only Gasshuku and dinner. Saturday May 25 will see our Black & Brown Belt Gasshuku run from 8:30am-1:30pm. Following this will be our annual Black Belt Grading test and Black & Brown Belt dinner and presentation. The instructors for this event will be Sensei Joe Roses (7th Dan), Sensei Kevin Nash (6th Dan) and Sensei David Lambert (4th Dan).

The IOGKF World Budosai, scheduled for 2020 has been brought forward to July 2019 to coincide with the 40th anniversary for IOGKF International. The event will include 5 days of training from the Worlds best IOGKF Sensei, including Master Higaonna. There will also be a masters demonstration and several parties, tours and social events. AOGKF group booking packages will be available soon!

Due to the IOGKF World Budosai trip to Okinawa, the AOGKF will combine it's two largest annual events into a massive weekend. AOGKF Orange, under the leadership of Sensei Geoff Tait, will host both the 2019 AOGKF National Gasshuku and 7th annual AOGKF Friendship Tournament over the course of three days. Special guest for this event will be Sensei Kazuo Terauchi, 9th Dan Black Belt and former all Japan tournament champion. He will be accompanied by Sensei Joseph Tait - 6th Dan, who has lived and breathed Karate in Japan for over 20 years. A Black and Brown Belt Gasshuku will held on November 1st, an all grades Gasshuku on November 2nd and the AOGKF annual friendship tournament on November 3rd.

The world's foremost authority in Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate will travel to Goulburn in November of 2020 to lead our National Gasshuku.
