The AOGKF hosts several training camps (Gasshuku) and tournaments each year. In addition to this AOGKF hosts and participates in International events for IOGKF International.

The IOGKF World Budosai, scheduled for 2020 has been brought forward to July 2019 to coincide with the 40th anniversary for IOGKF International. The event will include 5 days of training from the Worlds best IOGKF Sensei, including Master Higaonna. There will also be a masters demonstration and several parties, tours and social events. AOGKF group booking packages will be available soon!

Due to the IOGKF World Budosai trip to Okinawa, the AOGKF will combine it's two largest annual events into a massive weekend. The Canberra Traditional Karate Centres will host both the 2019 AOGKF National Gasshuku and 7th annual AOGKF Friendship Tournament over the course of three days. Special guest for this event will be Sensei Kazuo Terauchi, 9th Dan Black Belt and former all Japan tournament champion. He will be accompanied by Sensei Joseph Tait - 6th Dan, who has lived and breathed Karate in Japan for over 20 years. A Black and Brown Belt Gasshuku will held on November 1st, an all grades Gasshuku on November 2nd and the AOGKF annual friendship tournament on November 3rd.
