AOGKF President and IOGKF Mentorship Committee member, Sensei David Lambert, will give a special intensive senior Kata session on September 26, 2026. The seminar will be delivered via Zoom live from the Lambert Karate Dojo. This seminar will cover the details of Sanseru, Sepai, Kururunfa, Sesan and Suparimpei, with 30 minute being spent on each Kata.

This is a great way to brush up your technique prior to the Asian Pacific Gasshuku in November. Participants may join and particpate up to the highest Kata their Sensei has shown to them. Recordings availabe after.

 2026 will see the return of the IOGKF Asian Pacific Gasshuku for the first time in almost 30 years! The last Asian Pacific Gasshuku took place in Goulburn, Australia in 1998 and in the 2026 it will return to the same location! Last year it was decided the Asian Gasshuku and the Oceania Gasshuku would once again merge to bring back the glory of the Asian Pacific Gasshuku's of the past! 2026 will provide International visitors the unique opportunity to visit iconic Sydney and then travel together to Goulburn, experiencing the best of both the city and the country in the wonderland that is Australia. We have a team of 13 International level instructors teaching at this event that will usher in a new era of IOGKF in the Asian Pacific!

The NSW Gasshuku will head south for the first time when the event goes to Tathra on the stunning NSW South coast. Special Guest instructor for 2027 will be Sensei Fritz Venzke - IOGKF 4th Dan from Queensland. Join us for two half days of training on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning while we enjoy the beautiful South Coast!

The 2nd Western Australia State Gasshuku will once again be hosted by Sensei Peter Hunt and the team at Wanneroo Martial arts. Australia (AOGKF) Chief Instructor, Sensei Joe Roses - 8th Dan and AOGKF President, Sensei David Lambert - 5th Dan will be guest instructors at the event.

The annual AOGKF Black and Brown Belt Gasshuku will take place in Goulburn, NSW from May 21-23. Friday night black belt training will be held at the Lambert Karate Dojo for those arriving early. Saturday and Sunday will be a black and brown belt Gasshuku at the Veolia Arena in Goulburn. On the Saturday afternoon a Black Belt Grading will be held and a results dinner following the grading. Sensei Joe Roses O.A.M - 8th Dan and Sensei David Lambert - 5th Dan will lead the training at this event.

The next phase of the IOGKF Asian Pacific Gasshuku will take place in Astana, Kazakhstan. Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura, Sensei Ernie Molyneux, Sensei Joe Roses, Sensei Arman Karmen and Sensei David Lambert will be featured instructors.

Competitors all over the country will take to the mat in the biggest Goju-ryu Karate tournament in Australia! One weekend, 5 states! Start training hard for this friendly between Dojo's as we aim to find our state champions for 2027!

2027 will see the sunshine state of Queensland host the AOGKF National Gashuku and Championships for the first time ever!

Join Sensei Joe Roses 8th Dan, Sensei David Lambert 5th Dan and special guest instructors from England: Sensei Derek Jones - 6th Dan, Sensei Phil McClements - 6th Dan and Sensei Steve Gould - 5th Dan!

The event will be held at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre allowing you and your family to train, eat and sleep in one incredible location! Located on the beach and only a short drive to the middle of Caloundra this is a fantastic opportunity to combine a Gasshuku and a holiday in one!

There will be a beach training session and National chamionship finals as part of the event, along with a black belt dinner and the annual AOGKF Karate Party dinner!
