The AOGKF hosts several training camps (Gasshuku) and tournaments each year. In addition to this AOGKF hosts and participates in International events for IOGKF International.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 - GOULBURN, NSW

The annual AOGKF Ladies only Gasshuku will take place in Goulburn, NSW on September 15 from 9:00am-12:00pm with an optional lunch to follow. The seminar will be lead by Sensei Shenae Lambert - the highest graded female instructor in the AOGKF. This event is open to all AOGKF teenage and adult female AOGKF members. Sensei Shenae will continue to help our female members to develop their skills and confidence in the areas they highlighted to her. The event will take place in the awesome facilities at our Goulburn Dojo. Registration is now open online.
NOVEMBER 1-3, 2024

The AOGKF National Gasshuku will go to Canberra, ACT in 2024. Due the World Budosai event, there will be no state tournaments in 2024 and we will go straight to a National competition.
Friday evening and Saturday will see all grades National Gasshuku running at Namadgi School with classes being run by the highest instructors in the AOGKF. That evening the annual Karate party dinner will be held at the stunning Tuggeranong Homestead.
Sunday will bring about the National Friendship Tournament where we will be running Kata, Continous Kumite, Squares Kumite and Novelty events for children over four rings.
Registration and dinner ticket sales will open in August 2024. Accommodation and basic timetable information is available below.

The annual QLD State Gasshuku will take place in Brisbane on March 8, 2025. In 2025 Sensei David Lambert will be the guest instructor for the event and will be supported by the most senior instructors in Queensland.
This event is open to pee-wees, teens, adults and black belts.

MARCH 15, 2025 - WODEN, ACT

The annual ACT State Gasshuku will take place in Woden on March 15, 2025. Sensei Joe Roses, IOGKF 8th Dan - Australia Chief Instructor, will lead the event with support for Sensei Luke Drady, Sensei Pat Brown and senior instructor for across the ACT.
This event is open to pee-wees, teens, adults and black belts.

MARCH 23, 2025 - GOULBURN, NSW

The annual NSW State Gasshuku will take place in Goulburn on March 23, 2025. Sensei David Lambert will lead the event with support form all NSW Dojo and senior instructors. The event will be held at the Veolia Arena.

June 14-15, 2025 - CANBERRA, ACT
Hosted by: Canberra Traditonal Karate Centres - Bonython
The annual black and brown belt gasshuku will take place in Canberra, ACT from June 14-15, 2025. The Gasshuku will be headed by Sensei Joe Roses, chief instructor and IOGKF Advisor. He will be supported by Sensei Kevin Nash and Sensei David Lambert. Along with the Gasshuku, there will also be a black belt grading, and gasshuku dinner.

Get ready for the return of the state tournament series in 2025! The series did not run in 2024 as it was a Budosai year, but is back bigger and better than ever in 2025! Various competitions are running in 2025 in each state as we aim to find our State Champions to go through to the National finals in Wollongong in November 2025. The 2025 Naitonal Gasshuku will be held over three days at the Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort! This incredible facility has its main hall covered in martial arts mats and is on the beach. You have the opportunity to eat, stay and train on the beach in this beautiful coastal city!
The event will be headed by Sensei Joe Roses - 8th Dan Cheif Instructor. He will be assisted by Sensei Kevin Nash, Sensei David Lambert and Dojo instructors from acorss Australia. In 2025 we are pleased to welcome Sensei Jorge Monteiro Jr from Portugal to this event as a special guest group instructor.
Along with a well planned Gasshuku in this fantastic venue, the AOGKF will also host its National Tournament Finals as part of the event, as well as the annual Karate Party Dinner.

2026 will see the return of the IOGKF Asian Pacific Gasshuku for the first time in almost 30 years! The last Asian Pacific Gasshuku took place in Goulburn, Australia in 1998 and in the 2026 it will return to the same location! Last year it was decided the Asian Gasshuku and the Oceania Gasshuku would once again merge to bring back the glory of the Asian Pacific Gasshuku's of the past! 2026 will provide International visitors the unique opportunity to visit iconic Sydney and then travel together to Goulburn, experiencing the best of both the city and the country in the wonderland that is Australia. We have a team of 12 International level instructors teaching at this event that will usher in a new era of IOGKF in the Asian Pacific! IT HAS NEVER BEEN BIGGER THAN THIS!
